Goodwood church of Christ

Bert Ruckstuhl was born and raised in New Orleans. His father, Benny, was a civil engineer, and his mother, Marilyn, was a homemaker. Bert works at BHNS as an installer and maintainer of computers. He enjoys working with the Boy Scouts and camping. He was baptized at Goodwood in 1992 by Allen Cooper. He especially thanks his wife Karen and Allen for helping to bring him to faith. Bert met Karen through mutual friends. Karen enjoys movies, dining out, and helping with the children. Bert and Karen have three children: Jennifer, Christie, and Blake. As a family they enjoy spending time together and watching movies. The Ruckstuhl family came to the Goodwood congregation in 1990. Bert has served as a deacon for thirteen years, especially working in the areas of worship and technical services. Some of their favorite memories of events at Goodwood include helping with Bible Bowl and Vacation Bible School.
