Goodwood Church of Christ

Wilmer Little grew up in Tyler, TX where his parents, Sherrill and Darleene, still live. His dad is a retired insurance executive and cattle rancher, while his mother was a homemaker. Wilmer obeyed the gospel in 1962 and was baptized by Dean Brookshire at the West Erwin congregation. Wilmer met Diane on a blind date set up by his roommate in college. They married and have three adult children: Shanna, Wil, and Jessica. Wilmer is the National Sales Manager for Vantis Life & Investments. Diane owns her own real-estate business. Wilmer enjoys hunting, scuba diving, and wild-west shooting re-enactments. Diane spends leisure time gardening and doing crafts. The Littles were members at Goodwood from 1992-1993 and returned from Texas in 2006 to place membership again.

Wilmer became a deacon at Goodwood on December 9th, 2007. He had previously served as a deacon at the Pearland congregation. Wilmer has a couple of favorite Goodwood moments. He was awed by the Sunday morning Keith Parker kicked off the 2007 Gospel Meeting because he had never seen so many responses. He was also overjoyed to baptize his two oldest grandsons in June of 2008 at Goodwood.
