Clayton Goodrum was born and raised in Houston, TX. His parents, John and Barbara, both worked for Exxon. His dad also preached part-time. John baptized Clayton in April of 1968 at the West University congregation. Clayton met Chris at Abilene Christian University. They have two sons, Samuel and John. Clayton is an accountant at Exxon, and Chris is a teacher's aide for the Zachary Community School system. In his spare time, Clayton enjoys fishing, dominoes, and target shooting. Chris relaxes with sewing, quilting, stamping, and reading. The Goodrums became members at Goodwood in November of 2005 after their relocation from Texas.
Clayton was installed as a elder on November 1st, 2009. He had previously served as a deacon here at Goodwood and at the Lake Houston congregation. So far, his favorite memory at Goodwood is the day he baptized his youngest son, John. Clayton currently serves in the areas of Fellowship and Education.
